SANJEEVANI CANCER DETECTION PROGRAM
MAHILA AROGYA SASHAKTIKARAN & SANVARDHAN (MASS)
GeBBS Foundation in association with Mahatma Gandhi Mission Medical College and Hospital & Health Department with Zilla Parishad had organized a cancer detection camp on 17th March at Kumbhephal village, Aurangabad from 9.30 am onwards. The event was inaugurated by eminent leaders like Mrs. Meena Shelke (Sabhapati Zillha Parishad, Aurangabad), Mrs. Tarabai Ukarde (Sabhapati Panchayt Samiti, Aurangaba) & Dr. Vivek Khatgaonkar (District Health officer, Aurangabad)
Around 101 people attended the health checkup camp & 65 of them were detected with gynecology problem. Pap smear test, PSA test, and other check-ups were done by the doctors on the spot, free of cost. Total 18 Pap tests were done by the MGM doctors and 37 patients were recommended to visit MGM hospital for further treatment (which includes ultrasonography and mammography). MGM hospital will communicate about further testing.
