SANJEEVANI CANCER DETECTION PROGRAM

In a bid to be socially responsible, GeBBS Foundation has undertaken an initiative to provide timely access to healthcare facility in rural areas with a special focus on Cervical and Breast Cancer detection. GeBBS Foundation, a non-profit organization promoted by the GeBBS Group is inspired by the idea of ‘be the change you want to see’. The Foundation had their first cancer detection camp for women (30-60 years age group) on 23rd February at Babra village – Aurangabad district.

As estimated, more than 400 women benefited from this noble initiative. The contributions, activities and initiatives taken up by GeBBSians were much appreciated. The GeBBS Foundation group was accompanied by a team of 20 MGM doctors, nurses and support staff as well as 17 Asha workers, 16 GeBBS volunteers and 12 staff from Zilla Parishad (medical officers & nurses) who rendered their services in the camp. People who visited the camp underwent through a medical screening of cervical and breast cancer by the team of specialist doctors and were given consultations free of cost. The camp also had other general health checkup organized by MGM and Zilla Parishad.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Haribhau Bagade honorable speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He was accompanied by the Advisor of GeBBS Foundation Mrs. Anju Godbole. There were other eminent speakers from MGM and CEO of Zilla Parishad who were present during the event. This awareness camp was much applauded and appreciated by the media.
